Affiliate & Sponsorship Disclosure
Plain version: we may get paid when you buy through some links, and brands can pay to be featured. Neither one changes whether a giveaway is legit, and you never have to buy anything to enter.
Affiliate links
Some pages on this site, mainly the prize detail pages, may have "Buy it" links to retailers. These are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, Legit Gun Giveaways may earn a commission from the retailer. It doesn't cost you anything extra.
- Affiliate links are labeled where they appear, and every page that has one says so.
- Giveaway entry links are never affiliate links. "Enter" buttons go straight to the sponsor with no referral or tracking code, and we earn nothing when you enter.
- Commissions don't decide which giveaways get listed, which ones get flagged, or what we say about a product.
- Product info on prize pages is the manufacturer's published specs plus a summary of published reviews and owner posts, with sources linked. Unless a page says otherwise, we haven't tested the product ourselves.
Sponsored and featured spots
Brands can pay to have a giveaway featured (pinned near the top of the list, or placed in our email). Every paid placement is labeled "Sponsored" or "Featured".
- Paid placement doesn't skip the checks. A sponsored giveaway still has to be brand-run, have official rules and need no purchase.
- Free listings stay free. A brand doesn't have to pay to be listed, and not paying doesn't get anyone left off.
- If a brand gives us free products or pays for a review, we'll say so on that page.
No purchase necessary. Ever.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win any giveaway listed on this site. We only list giveaways that are free to enter.
Buying anything never improves your odds. That includes buying through our links, buying from a sponsor, or buying the prize itself. "Buy it" links are there for people who'd rather not wait on luck, and they have nothing to do with any giveaway.
Each giveaway is run by its sponsor under its own official rules. Read them before you enter, since eligibility, age limits and excluded states vary. Firearm prizes and purchases must go through a licensed FFL dealer and follow federal, state and local law.
